PRESIDENTIAL NATIONAL BEST TEACHER AWARD – 2021
Background
The Presidential National Best Teachers’ Awards is an initiative born of His Excellency the Presidents, Brig. (Rtd) Julius Maada Bio’s commitment to acknowledging and rewarding the great work of the teachers and their contribution to national development.
In his maiden speech during the state opening of Parliament in May 2018, he referred to teachers as the nation’s greatest assets” pledged his commitment to taking decisive actions towards the improvement of their working condition. One of such actions in this package is the inauguration of an award scheme to acknowledge and reward teachers, later tagged “THE PRESIDENTIAL NATIONAL BEST TEACHERS’ AWARDS (PNBTA). The first PNBTA was held on Tuesday, 5th October 2021 and has henceforth been pronounced a national event.Aim of the PNBTA
To award the most innovative, resourceful and dedicated teachers at District, Regional and National levels in a way to instilling motivation to excellence in the teaching profession.Objectives:
To recognize the value of teachers.
To promote excellence among teachers.
To motivate and inspired teachers
